Do Now Heading: Construction and Gallery Walk Sit at the same table from yesterday Get all of your materials out

What will happen today? You will have 30 minutes to finish up your Rube Goldberg Machines A gallery walk ( kind of what happens in a museum) Clean Up/ Final Write up Instructions

Finishing Your Machine You will have the next 30 minutes to complete your machine. This is the time to make any changes that you will need to do in order for the machine to complete its task

Gallery Walk Protocol As a class we will observe the different machines around the classroom. We will have each group demonstrate their machine one by one. During this time, random peers will be evaluating your machines, and I will be completing the rubric for your project You will get your peer evaluation rubric with the machine you will be evaluating closer to the gallery walk. Please do not tell people who you are evaluating. I want these to stay anonymous and as honest as possible.

Clean Up/Final Write Up Begin cleaning up your machine and taking it down. Make sure all trash is thrown out and not left in my classroom. If you need to leave machine parts here and pick them up after school you may do so

Final Write Up Write a minimum 1 page reflection about your experience building this machine. As you write your reflection, make sure to answer these questions. What was your favorite part about this project? What struggles did you and your team face during this project? How do you feel the struggles you face affect your group and your machine? How did your initial design different or similar to your final design? Why did these changes happen? Be specific!!! ( You can get this information off of the notes you took on the back of your initial design template) If you could change anything about the project, including the materials, partners, initial design, etc. what would it be and why?
