IRB: What you Need to Know Make contact with your IRB early Know that IRB procedures vary by institution Carleton College has EXEMPT status and this may be sufficient, depending on your institution The completed IRB application for FAMU is available from Richard Gragg and can be used as reference if you are required to complete the process on your own at your institution. In some cases the review of the lead grantee institution's IRB can serve, so long as the principles inherent in the review, involving knowledgeable and diverse representation, are respected (see 45 CFR 690.107).
