Sample Facebook Post: (long version) Carrie Morris Shares Why She Continues to Support YES! Recently, one of my kids came to me with thoughts of serious depression. It’s a fact: depression amongst today’s youth is on the rise and as I recently posted, during the first month of this school year, suicide interventions increased by 40% from last year. Knowing the facts, we didn’t take our son’s emotions lightly. We have been working closely with our pediatrician and a counselor, getting the much-needed care that my son needs. For families like mine, and for kids like my son, Youth Eastside Services (YES) offers expert mental health counseling, substance abuse treatment, education and prevention and psychiatric services to children, teens, and families, regardless of their ability to pay. In order to provide “open access” programs like the ones that YES offers, they need OUR support. I am thrilled to announce that I will be serving as a Table Captain at the “Invest in Youth” breakfast on March 21st. This being my second year, I’d love it if you would join me! Or, perhaps you’d like to serve as a Table Captain! This year’s breakfast will be extra special… more info to follow. Private message me to learn more! And thank you for supporting me! #InvestInYouth2018
