Radiation -transfer of energy through space

Conduction -heat transfer within a material or between materials that are touching

Convection -Heat can by transferred by the movement of fluids-liquids and gases.

B. Convection Currents 1. heating and cooling of fluid 2. changes in the fluid's density 3. the force of gravity combine to set convectin currents in motion

C. Convection Currents in Earth 1. Heat from the core and the mantle itself causes convection currents in the mantle.
