  Do not start your journey if conditions are foggy! No. 26.10.09 No. XX.XX.XX No. 26.10.09 INCIDENT DESCRIPTION A (Non PDO Related) incident occurred on the main Nimr/Rima road between a TruckOman double cab pick-up and an (overtaking) Masaco catering supplies truck. The collision occurred in early morning foggy conditions and resulted in the deaths of the driver and a passenger in the TruckOman vehicle. INITIAL FINDINGS/LEARNINGS Be aware that fog is very common in the early morning in the south of Oman. Do not start your journey if it is foggy. Journey Managers shall not authorise journeys when fog is reported or expected. If you are driving and visbility reduces; REDUCE SPEED switch on your (dipped) headlights and high intensity rear lights If visibility reduces further; pull off the road, park at a safe distance STOP DRIVING Do NOT overtake in fog!  Do not start your journey if conditions are foggy!  Petroleum Development Oman
