Figure Pressure mapping of buttocks of 82-year-old woman, seated on wheelchair Horizontal axis represents pad surface: vertical axis depicts pressure. Each point corresponds to pressure measured by one sensor. Baseline mapping without cushion showed high pressure (yellow and red points >80 and >100 mm Hg, respectively) in ischiatic and coccygeal areas (panel A). After modifying patient's position and placing air-cushion (appropriately inflated) over-pressure peaks disappeared (B).
