Disabled Veteran (DV) Tag Definition of VA Service Connected Disability: Injury, disease or conditions incurred in, by or was unduly aggravated as a result of military service.

100% Permanent & Total Disabilities are of a Total and Permanent nature and are expected to continue for the duration of the veteran’s lifetime Three different types of 100% rating……

100% Ratings…….. * Schedular: Disability(ies) rated at 100% or combined ratings of 100% under the published criteria in the VA’s Schedule for Rating Disability

100% Ratings... * Individual Unemployability: The VA determines that the service connected disability(ies) are the sole cause of unemployability without regard to age. Veterans receive the benefits as 100% BUT not actually rated. They are Permanent and Total.

Temporary Convalescence 100% (NOT P&T) A Temporary Convalescence 100% is granted for a period of treatment for a service connected conditions that is MORE LIKELY to improve but is disabling or impactful to the veteran’s employment: ** Cancer Treatments ** Joint Replacements ** Surgeries This benefit is NOT Permanent or Total therefore tax/tags eligibility is VOID.
