In contrast, Ara h8 is a member of the pathogenesis-related 10 (PR-10) family which includes allergens such as Bet v 1 from Birch that are heat-labile and highly cross-reactive.[Sastre] Ara h5 is another heat-labile protein of the profillin family that is cross-reactive with Bet v 2 (Birch) and Phl p 12 (Grass), and to which IgE antibody is only rarely found in peanut allergic patients.
