Can no longer live in their home due to reasonable fear that they will be persecuted and/or face death Internally displaced persons: people forced to move to other parts of a country (not emigration) Refugees: seeking safety and status while outside of the country that they want to emigrate Asylum seekers: seeking safety and status while in the country they want to remain in, or at its port of entry
