About the foundation The foundation of NACE is the 501c3 charitable arm of NACE. Founded In 1985 with founding president Peter Guenther, The Foundation’s mission was to foster education and training in the fields of food, beverage and catering management.  Now in its 31st year, The Foundation’s mission is: To support the catering and events industry by educating our members and investing in our community.

Foundation of NACE Strategic goals Develop and strengthen the brand identity of the Foundation within NACE Develop and enhance the Foundation brand and identity in conjunction with NACE. 1 Grow and diversify the Scholarship program Provide a minimum of FIVE Scholarship opportunities 2 Grow and better market the Community Grants program Grow and better market the Community Grants program to the membership of NACE. 3 Develop and implement an aggressive fundraising strategy and grow the general fund Create financial stability for the organization and reverse the current trend of donation decline. 4

Career advancement scholarships These scholarships are no longer just about paying tuition – they include multiple NACE touchpoints to help winners build and strengthen their careers and maintain a strong relationship with NACE.
