Inspiring a Shared Vision Joe Pray & Kristin Zelkowitz

Inspiring a Shared Vision Every leader brings vision to life by sponsoring change, shaping culture and connecting our enterprise vision to everyday work.

Inspiring a Shared Vision Sponsor Change – We have the authority, resources and accountability to call for and support change. Our teams look to us to inspire a shared vision of the future. Take ownership of our enterprise vision (another instance of “Together”).

Vision Communication Guide First step: My Vision Roadshow: Starting in May

Vision Roadshow Schedule Scheduled: To be scheduled: May 8 Kansas City May 15 Worcester May 19 Mequon May 21 Lancaster May 29 Tinley Park June 19 Charlotte June 23 Minneapolis July 14 Detroit July 23 Dallas Baltimore Boardman Dublin Little Rock Tucson West Des Moines

Vision Communication First step: My Vision Roadshow: Starting in May Our OD and Communication teams will work with your ELT member to create a vision communication strategy for your areas. You’ll get tools and guidance to champion the vision across the enterprise. Goal: For associates to understand the vision, engage with it, see what it means to them – and make a conscious choice about the role they will play.

Vision Communication Guide

Vision Communication Vision Communication Guide is the foundation of a comprehensive Vision Communication Kit. Enables us to create experiences with our teams similar to those we had here at the summit to: Share and discuss the vision, its purpose and implications. Discuss the images, words and phrases that are most powerful or remain unclear. Share examples of operating more as an enterprise. Apply enterprise and “what it looks like” definitions to our teams. Consider changes necessary to achieve the vision. Bring the vision to life in the context of our everyday work.

Vision Communication Strategy Tools will be flexible & adaptable: Different areas have different means of sharing information Each leader has a unique team, with different numbers of associates in various offices Timeline: OD & Communications scheduled to meet with the ELT April 15 to discuss a strategy that works for each area. We will customize the tools in the kit to match the strategy – electronic access to videos, PowerPoint decks, etc. Once Joe has visited your office, that will trigger the communication strategy for your location/area. Our role as leaders: Advance the enterprise vision throughout the enterprise through structured, face-to-face (whenever possible) communication. Check for understanding. Be accountable: follow-up survey will be sent to associates once you’ve completed this first stage of vision communication.

Vision Communication Strategy To Do: Review the Communication Guide. Start considering how you would communicate the vision to your team – challenges, obstacles, potential vehicles, partnerships across the enterprise. Work with your ELT member as we develop communication strategies.
