Vale Last Copy Workflow Systems Runs Report Selector Reviews Report Selector Inspects Condition and Annotates Printout Systems Updates Item Record Systems Uploads Selected Bibliographic Records to VLCC

Run Reports Current number of bibliographic records 2,090,183 titles

Run Reports Report selects: Imprints prior to 1900 197,708 titles Exclude titles held electronically, held in non-circulating libraries, or are already being preserved such as Special Collections 36,860 titles Exclude serials 35,045 titles

Review Report Selector receives report, reviews titles, notes duplicates Takes report to shelves

Inspect Items Notes condition of item such as: Rebound and in good condition Slight spotting on pages Boxed, fragile Broken binding, brittle pages

Update item Record in ILS Use codes currently used in inventory Boxing (item has brittle pages) Repair (item has 10 or less loose pages and has torn spine or loose text block) Rebind (item has more than 10 loose pages, a torn spine and loose text block, and loose book boards.)

Upload File to VLCC collection Update Item Record with code for VLCC After item records have been updated, select records with VLCC code for export

Priorities Titles in circulating collections STACKS FOLIO JUV Titles with high replacement cost – Art Titles not duplicated electronically

Pilot Project Progress Titles in N Classification; 1,747 items in 1,236 titles Most items in the Art library but some located in other units: ALEXANDER - 46 items ANNEX – 114 items ART – 1496 items CAMDEN – 16 items DANA – 6 items DOUGLASS – 58 items KILMER – 11 items There are minimum requirements – 82 titles filtered out due to lack of |b in 260
