Scientific Apheresis Societies Current status in Europe In the past ISFA had no continuous activities in Europe (only one international congress any 6 years) There is no scientific society in Europe addressing all aspects of apheresis therapy No European guidelines for the evaluation and application of apheresis therapy No European apheresis society providing expert consultation to regulatory bodies and health authorities No coordinated activities of national subspecialty societies
