MASIA TRIBE BACKGROUND OF KENYAS 42 TRIBES THE MASIA ARE THE MOST WELL KNOWN. NURTITION AND FOOD HYGINE ARE ALSO OF CONCERN. THERE STAPLES ARE MILK,BLOOD, AND MEAT AND MOST OF THE TIME THERE UNDERCOOKED OR RAW. THEIR HOMES ARE MADE OF WOOD BRANCHES, COW DUNG, AND POLYTHENE PAPERS. THE MEN ARE TREATED HIGHER THAN THE WOMEN.

ED COLINA The foundation supports 3 preschools and feeding programs in the Nairobi area. These preschools are Kibera Jitahidi preschool, Bisil St. henry school, and Athi river st.timothy. Traveled to Africa and he volunteered with a renewed organization and NGO Nyumbani. Plans are currently under way to begin another school and food program for the Masai community of Eluaai in January 2013. Make A Donation At this time, your tax-exempt donations are being accepted at: Journey: The Ed Colina Foundation P.O. Box 199 Burlington, KY 41005 School Uniform Drive

Reason #1 WHY SHOULD WE BUILD A SCHOOL ANYWAY? We should build a school because kids in eluaai need an education so they can go to high school and college son they can get a job later in their life.

REASON #2 WHY SHOULD WE BUILD A SCHOOL ANYWAY? THE SECOND REASON WHY WE SHOULD BUILD A SCHOOL IS SO THAT KIDS DON’T HAVE TO WALK 8KM AND SO THEY CAN GET AN EDUCATION WHEN THEY ARE LITTLE KIDS. THEY SHOULD GET A CHANCE FROM THE BEGINNING.

Will you help these poor loving children You should donate money Because 10 of these children die Every minute from hunger and With your support you can help These poor children.

EDUCATION ONE FACT IS THAT THE NEAREST SCHOOL IN ELUAAI IS 8 KILOMETERS AWAY FROM THERE HOUSES. MANY ARE SENT HOME FROM SCHOOL FOR LACK OF BOOKS OR UNIFORMS. GIRLS ARE FURTHER DISADVANTAGED BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO COMPLETE A NUMBER OF CHORES BEFORE BEGINNING THEIR TREK TO SCHOOL. BOYS GET FIRST PRIORTIES IN PURCHAS OF UNIFORMS AND BOOKS. FEW REACH A STANDARD OF EIGHTH GRADE AND EVEN FEWER ATTTEND HIGH SCHOOL AND THOSE THAT DO MUST ATTEND SUBSTANDARD SCHOOLS WITH POOR TEACHING AND LOW QUALITY FACILITIES.

THIS IS A PICTURE OF A CHART OF HOW MUCH MONEY THEY NEED TO BUILD 3 STANDARD CLASSROOMS AND A 4OOO LITER WATER TANK.
