KSS Grad Transitions MAP Presentation Day

Teacher Responsibilities Be on time…10 minutes before your 1st interview starts. Provide students with open ended questions…this should lead them into a conversation about their career path and/or future opportunities (their Grad Transition Plan). Please be a good listener and communicator…this will help them engage in a meaningful conversation & come away with a positive learning experience (eye contact, leaning forward & arms not crossed). Provide specific feedback for them during your conversations & please make note of these points on your feedback form.

MAP QUESTIONS – Creating a Conversation! Tell us about yourself.   What are your strengths or best attributes? What are your plans for next year? How will you achieve your career goals? Do you know how much this is going to cost? How are you planning on paying for this? How will you ensure that your personal wellness will remain a priority? What have you learned from this experience?

MAP CRITERIA – What are you looking for? Presentation of the Student – are they dressed appropriately, shake hands, eye contact, speak clearly & listen when being addressed. The MAP Conversation – is the student willing to engage in a conversation & express their plan in a clear, concise, professional manner. Post Interview Evaluation – was the student prepared for this presentation & their career/life plan.
