These include videos of AXELOS examiners advising you on revision areas, quizzes based on past papers to test your knowledge and advice on the types of questions you could get asked and how to best answer them. Although these materials aren’t designed to act as training materials they will help you focus your energies on the areas of the syllabus that you need to understand so you are as prepared as you can be for your exam. Currently these exam resources are aimed at the foundation level for PRINCE2 and ITIL but AXELOS will be adding further content to help you progress through the AXELOS certifications as your career progresses. To help individuals make the most of the framework you can access online tools that allow you to asses yourself either by a job role or a particular skill. You can also invite your peers to do the same assessment for you so that you get 360 degree feedback. Once you’ve completed the assessment you can see how you have performed against the industry standard as well as get recommendations for the types of development activities you could do to build certain skills.
Help you advance your career Continuing Professional Development (CPD): Three stage cycle to guide individuals through the process Choose from four categories of CPD activity Professional experience ensures a link to the workplace Complete 20 points of CPD annually to earn a digital badge Professional development is at the heart of the membership programme. It isn’t mandatory but it can be a helpful way to help you build a career plan and identify development needs that will help you reach your career aspirations. The AXELOS approach to continuing professional development (CPD) is a best of breed model that gives you some structure to make it easy to follow but allows you the freedom to identify and record development activities that are relevant to you. There are three stages to go through. The first is to use our skills tools to assess your capabilities so you can start to build a development plan. You then go off and undertake the activities you think are most relevant and finally you log those activities and identify how they have helped you develop certain skills. To ensure that the activities are relevant to you as a professional they need to fall into four categories: professional experience, training, community participation and self study. You have to complete 20 points annually, 5 of which must be linked to professional experience. And in return for logging those points you can earn a digital badge that is linked to your certification. Digital badges can only be awarded to individuals that already have an ITIL, PRINCE2 or MSP certification. It you have a PRINCE2 practitioner certification you can use your digital badge as an alternative to re-registration.
Help you advance your career: Digital Badges Digital Badges: a recognized way to verify your achievements across all digital platforms Digital badges are an innovative way to verify credentials in an online world. They can be shared across different online platforms and are underpinned by metadata that identifies the award you have received, when you earned it and who it has been awarded by. So in this instance individuals would see that you have earned a digital badge for successful completion of CPD activities linked to your AXELOS certification. They will be able to see when you achieved the award and that it has been awarded to you by AXELOS. You can use digital badges to differentiate yourself and to demonstrate your achievement in completing CPD activities to maintain your skills and knowledge. Having a digital badge will help you stand out from your peers.
ITIL publications include an Help you excel in your role: Best Practice ITIL publications include an Introduction to ITIL Service Lifecycle and ITIL Continual Service Improvement. PPM publications include Directing Successful Projects with PRINCE2 and Integrating PRINCE2. Worth over £800! Finally as a member you can benefit from a bank of content that will help you excel in your role. Firstly you can access online subscriptions to core AXELOS publications including the ITIL Key Element Guides, ITIL Continual Service Improvement and Integrating PRINCE2. These subscriptions are not restricted to your product membership. This means that regardless of whether you subscribed to ITIL, PRINCE2 or MSP you can access all these publications, expanding your access to best practice products and your subject knowledge.
