Rehabilitation of Alcoa Mine Camps and Providers Rehabilitation of Alcoa Mine The vision is endless don’t limit ourselves

Centres and Providers There are 8 camps in the Anglesea area plus the resources of the Family Holiday Parks and the Surf club. - Camp Wilkin, Burnside, YMCA, Eumeralla, Araluen, Coastal Forest Lodge, Anglecrest and Anglehook The Camps bring approximately 50,000 people into Anglesea for an average of 2 nights. The activity providers service 40,000+ people into Anglesea. Challenge wise this would be 100,000’s different outdoors Experiences There is not a statistic but from word of mouth the return of campers to visit again is high. KOAs (Kids Adventure Outdoors Anglesea) This market is very strong and continues to grow

Adventure play The Alcoa site is an area which would benefit from adventure and natural play. Where people experience the natural environment for play structured and unstructured Connecting people and nature There is expertise in the Camps and Providers to guide this project, uniting Government, Agencies and Community expertise. Access is very important Paths and tracks to walk and ride so the environment is protected Water access from many points for multi use for groups

Vision for Facilities Experience Centre (sustainable and eco friendly) (This would be on alternate use areas) Culture (Brambuk Halls Gap) History (Mine, Town, Great Ocean Road) Environmental (Develop experiences) Tourism Management Centre (Edam project UK) Adventure experiences lead from Centre Buildings to store equipment from varied groups Camping areas so people experience the outdoors Bush tents, Clamping tents and Camping Centre. Toilets and showers Tables and shelters Build a professional, commercially, sustainable, eco friendly, and Trade from the Alcoa Site. Balancing with our local business.
