Kiwanis Children’s Fund: Club Grant Program Julie Stanley Director of Grants and Strategic Initiatives

Purpose Help address an unmet need Support projects that provide long-term benefits sustained by the club Fill a funding gap

Your project must: Be Kiwanis led Fill a need within your community as determined through a needs assessment Programming that recurs at least once a year Support health, education or youth leadership development

Your project must: Receive at least 25% of funds from your club Require no more than 40% from us Have at least one other funder Spend the funds within 12 months

Ideal projects are: Widely familiar Sustainable Recurring Capable of being duplicated Children- and community-focused

Ideal projects are: High-impact Membership-focused Network building Unique

We do not fund: Projects lacking Kiwanis identity Funding more appropriate from a local government or other organization Completed projects Expenses/salaries of other organizations

We do not fund: Loan repayments or reimbursements Individual assistance Scientific research or medical studies Training expenses, travel or lodging Capital construction or land/buildings

Know your community Measure what your community needs Learn about resources Engage your community Develop new partnerships

Additional benefits Community members become engaged Data can be used to leverage funding Data can be used by others in your community
