Teacher candidate placement Classroom teaching Typically in K-5, though older grades may be available Typically in Math, Science or English classes (which are taught in English) Some French as a Third Language classes are offered Teacher candidate placement Colombia

Living arrangements Homestay with local family Teacher candidates are integrated into the community, instead of participating in tourist activities AFE coincides with Easter Holy Week, when schools are closed for 1 week in mid-April – teacher candidates will be included in host family celebrations Colombia

expenses Teacher Candidate Pays: Gimnasio Campastre pays: Flight (all teacher candidates must fly together) Room and board Transportation – to/from airport, to/from school Per diem - $100 per week (minus taxes) – half upon arrival and half at end Colombia

Application process Submit AFE Proposal online before November 27 Maximum 3 teacher candidates accepted If more teacher candidates apply than space allows, priority will be given to teacher candidates in the International Specialty. If there are still more applicants than space, decisions will be based on the strength of the application Colombia
