The journey so far…

Tom has outlined broad vision – but how as a community do we walk together towards that vision?

Our Review each year as a LT What are our strengths? In what ways do we need to grow? What realistic aims could we set for the next year? i.e. vision statement influencing course of action

2016 Thea 1 year old….

We looked at three main themes Great Commandement: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (Matt 22: 37) Great Community: Love one another! Great Commission: Go and make Disciples of all nations (Matt 28: 19-20)

PRIORITIES SET 2016 Start small groups Clarify vision, strategy and goals: “joined up thinking” Appraisal of local community needs Website Accountability Groups Alpha Course Audit of resources

By the end of 2016 as a church we had… Started Life Groups (Sept 2016) Employed Tom! Nov 2016 Community invite: Woodland Treasure Trail, Carve a Heart.. Weekly activites On our way to buying Silver Street!

2017 Thea 2 years old….

We looked at…. Nehemiah – what things can build and stall momentum

Leaders Away morning Jan 2017: objectives Jesus as the centre of all we do: intentional mission focus Build capacity: Invest in training Build connections: 5th Sunday, village events Build a culture: everyone a missionary, everyone a disciple, everyone a volunteer Alpha Course

By the end of 2017 we had… Tom still in employment! Silver street – ours! And a party to celebrate Village Survey Alpha Course – team effort! Claire coming on team Worship Training

2018 Thea 3 years old

We looked at… How we were doing!

And we decided………………. On 3 strategic goals for 2018

Discipleship : Getting to knowing God better and learning how to grow a relationship with Him.

Service : James 2 v 17 (Faith without works is dead) Something this church is pretty good at. Modelling the love God has for us through the way we reach out to others in practical ways. Silver St – serving the community – is an example of that. Youth Group Playgroup – Christian ethos in action. The way in which we serve hopefully illustrates WWJD.

Mission Being intentional in all our relationships to move people closer to being a disciple

So that’s the vision for the next 12 months.
