Moderator: Brandon Lee Brandon Lee is an associate managing director in K2 Intelligence’s Regulatory Compliance practice, based in New York. Brandon has held senior AML and financial crimes compliance roles at large-complex banking and non-banking financial institutions. Cumulatively, he has advised clients in the money services businesses, retail and investment banking, broker-dealers, insurance, futures commission merchants, energy markets, trade finance, challenger banking, canna-banking, hedge funds, and cryptocurrency exchanges & wallets on developing risk-based financial crimes compliance programs. In 2008, Brandon led a Big-4 AML practice’s entry into and development in South Korea, and advised the local banking compliance and regulatory community ahead of FATF’s first mutual evaluation.

Panelist: Jeffrey Alberts Jeffrey Alberts co-chairs Pryor Cashman’s FinTech and Financial Institutions Groups. He has in-depth knowledge of the growing virtual currency sector and the subsequent government efforts to regulate virtual currency companies, and is frequently sought out by the media for his insights in these areas. Additionally, Jeffrey is a participating attorney in the Digital Currency & Ledger Defense Coalition (DCLDC), an organization which protects individual constitutional rights and civil liberties in connection with regulatory and law enforcement scrutiny relating to digital currencies and ledgers. Before joining Pryor Cashman in 2013, Jeffrey spent six years with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York where he investigated and prosecuted a wide variety of white collar criminal offenses.

Panelist: Gabriel Hidalgo Gabriel (Gabe) I. Hidalgo is the Chief Compliance Officer for Noble Bank International. Gabe is a recognized Compliance expert, in the financial institutional space, where he has created, designed and implemented various compliance programs. He specializes in analyzing novel technology based products/services to identify and implement the appropriate risk based compliance controls. He has led and advised compliance departments and teams at several different organizations including the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Morgan Stanley, Capital One Bank, HSBC, itBit Trust Company and Deloitte FAS.
