History Venus is known by the Ancients. Venus was the Roman goddess of love and beauty. In Greek her name was Aphrodite.

Solar System Venus is the second planet from the sun Venus’s distance is 25 million miles from the sun. It takes 243 earth days to orbit around the sun. One day in Venus is 225 earth days.

Planet appearance Venus is a reddish, brownish and, yellowish color. It is a very hot and deadly and there are volcano’s and mountains.

Exploration The Mariner2 visited Venus on December 14,1962.The Mariner2 brought information that stated.It was 800 degrees Farhenheit but now it is 900 degrees Farhenheit.It is also found out that it was a world with carbon dioxide and cloud covered atmosphere.
