Objectives Describe the various types of massage List the indications and contraindications for massage Select the correct massage type based on the desired therapeutic effect

Terminology ____________________________ – intentional and methodical kneading and stroking of soft tissues ____________________________ – using the palm to stroke the tissue in a smooth and rhythmical way ____________________________ – kneading or squeezing the tissue between the hands _________________________ – causing the tissue to shake vigorously
