Milestone Reporting Portal Presentation Information and Knowledge Management Officer: Pozisa Mtya
The Milestone Reporting Portal Purpose: As part of the summit implementation (Mine Health and Safety Summit 2014), stakeholders have agreed to develop an electronic system for the collection, reporting and monitoring of the Summit Milestones targets agreed by the stakeholders of the mining industry.
System applicability: System has the following features: Mines to access the system for reporting Allowance for 4 000 users to access the system Registering of mines into the system – first time users Reporting workflow from the nurse to doctor to GM Retrieval of reports by mines
FEEDBACK The electronic web-based milestone reporting system went live on the 1st of April 2018 for rollout and implementation. The pilot phase entails capturing of the summit milestone progress report into the system and further generating reports to verify the data captured. MHSC developed a Pilot Road Map and 16 Mines were selected for piloting. There piloting Mines have captured on CTF and OM. Mine Health and Safety Council presented and promoted the use of the Milestone Reporting Portal through the RTF’s (Regional Tripartite Forums): And the challenge with the RTF’s was that the relevant people which are data capturers don’t attend RTFs. The plan is now to host workshops per region which will target only the data capturers: Occupational Medicine (Nurses and Doctors) – Occupational Medicine Milestone SHE Reps/Managers - Occupational Hygiene Milestone Hygienists - Occupational Hygiene Milestone Human Resource people - Culture Transformation Framework Milestone As per the DMR list we have +-1009 Mines on the database. PRESENTATIONS DONE: Limpopo Surface and Quarries Klerksdorp RTF NC Wellness RTF organized by ARM
