Gate Equity Webinar: Using Data for Social Justice Thank you for joining us today. We’re excited to be walking through OSPI’s data analytics that show graduation rates for districts in Washington State and to answer your questions about the new data and reports. I’m Kefi Andersen, Graduation and Equity Specialist joined by Tim Stensager, Data Governance Program Manager As we go through please post questions through the chat box. We have a team responding to these, and will address big questions periodically throughout the presentation. Featuring Tim Stensager, OSPI September 14, 2016

Weigh In: Performance Indicators Does your district use OSPI data analytics on key performance indicators? These tools allow for easier comparison by sub0group, and across districts. http://www.k12.wa.us/DataAdmin/Performance Indicators/DataAnalytics.aspx Graduation rates Discipline Chronic Absence This is my first time learning about these Take a moment to answer our polling question. Typical

Disproportionality I.E.S.

Low-Income to Non Low-Income Students Looking at low income and non low income graduation rates over time. Low income students make up a substantial population with 51.3% of our 2015 4 year cohort. Good news is that we are increasing overall, up for both low income students and non low income students, but the end result is that the gap has not narrowed.
