NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION AT OUR OFFICE You will be given: Important notice Certificate of enrollment- for ARC application Student I.D. number and password of student information system- for course selection and new student information input. Please submit the followings to pick up your student I.D. card. Students who fail to submit this form by Mar. 30, 2018 will be deemed registration procedure incomplete. Feb. 26 Mar. 09 Course Adding / dropping Via student information system or Authorization Code Operation. Please login the system to select course by putting it in the system. May. 07 May. 25 Second Course Withdrawal Withdrawal only. Withdraw via student information system, print out the application form generated from the system, get signature from your advisor, and submit it to Section of Graduate Studies. Notice of Course code  The third digit of the course code starts with 1~4and G, are the courses offered by undergraduate program. The third digit starts with 5~9 are courses offered by graduate program. 2018 SPRING COURSE SELECTION SCHEDULE Time Details Feb.22-24 Course Pre-registration Period of NTU System Feb. 22-23,12:00 noon--Course Pre-registration Feb. 23, 12:01---The system performs a random selection for courses over size limitation. Feb. 24---Please log in to the Student Information System to check the result of computer random selection. Feb. 26- Mar.09 9:00 - 23:00 Course Adding/Dropping period Every course set student number quota, and students can select courses with remain quotas. This stage is on the basis of first forestalls to win. The Authorization Code Operation: If you can’t select courses online, please attend the course and inquire for the Authorization Code. Please log in to the System to select course by putting in the Authorization Code. If you fail, please contact Office of Academic Affairs. However, the Authorization Code Operation should follow the courses selection rules. NOT every Authorization Code Operation will be accepted. For NTU System courses: Authorization Code is only valid when NTU and NTNU provided such courses to NTUST online. May 07- 25 Second course withdraw Withdraw classes. If you withdraw course during the period, the courses name will still show on your transcript with a ‘W’ mark.

ADDING/DROPPING TIME: 2/26-3/9 SELECT COURSES ONLINE OR AUTHORIZATION CODE OPERATION Use Authorization Code Operation to select Mandarin courses or courses at different level or when courses are full online PART 1. Authorization Code Please login the system to select course by putting in the system PART 2. Notice of Authorization Code Code valid period Graduate students who select the undergraduate courses should pay the credit fee additionally. This Authorization Ccode can be used by NTUST students only and NOT allowed to transfer to others. If you can’t select courses online, please attend the course and inquire for the Authorization Code. If you fail, please contact Office of Academic Affairs. Teacher may consider of class size, NOT every Authorization Code will be given.

Log in to the student information system. Please attend the course and inquire for the authorization code. Student must sign in the sheet which is provided by the course instructor, while obtaining the authorization code.( For NTU System courses, please refer to the Q&A) Log in to the student information system. Click “Course selection system”-for For adding and dropping general courses in regular way “Authorization code selection (for selecting NTUST course)” “Authorization code selection (for selecting NTU and NTNU course)”

COURSE SELECTION- INTER-UNIVERSITY COURSE SELECTION No more than 1/3 of required graduation credits in total. Course selection period: Feb. 26 to Mar. 09 The National Taiwan University System (NTUST, NTU, NTNU)- select course by student information system(online) courses offered by the NTU system only 2. Other universities- submit paper application form pay credit fees(NTD 3240 per credit).

LEAVE OF ABSENCE Maximum: 2 years Fill out application form and finish the leaving procedure. ARC will be suspended during absence period. Courses you have taken will be cancelled during absence period.
