Prayer Dear God, We pray that we never underestimate our capabilities. May we never hold back from seeking our dreams, and making them a reality. We pray for faith, confidence, strength and determination to set our sights high and to achieve all that we dream of. May the next two years be filled with wonderful accomplishments and successes. May we do this together, as a community, and as a family. We ask this through Christ our Lord Amen. Prayer for Grade Ten Students-Tassi, F. and P.(2004)

ADWPL (Endorsed program) This program offers students enrolled in Career and Enterprise an opportunity to attend a chosen workplace one day per week (Thursday) with up to two workplaces per year. The workplace provides a student with an experience in an industry area that is relevant to his/her interests and considered a possible career or training pathway. The endorsed program (ADWPL) enables a student to build on the skills, knowledge and understandings that underpin successful participation in work. The program is managed by the service provider, Onsite, in partnership with the College. Students’ hours are recorded on WACE/WASSA.

ADWPL - Workplace Learning Logbook and Skills Journal Each student is enrolled in ADWPL – Authority Developed Workplace Learning Every student completes a Workplace Learning Logbook : It includes: an attendance record progressively completed by the student a task schedule progressively completed by the student a workplace supervisor’s evaluation of student performance Every student completes a Workplace Learning Skills Journal which is a framework for the student to provide specific examples that demonstrate application of work skills, knowledge and understandings. Every 55 hours completed in the workplace with completed logbook and journal equates to 1 unit equivalence towards WACE. All workplace hours will be recorded.

Work Ready Induction Program Before engaging in the authority developed Workplace Learning Program a student must be deemed by the school to be work ready. All students engaging in Workplace Learning will complete the Work Ready Induction Program to prepare them to enter the workplace safely and responsibly and to develop essential prior knowledge. The Work Ready Induction Program will be completed in class. The program will also require students to be on good standing at school, demonstrate an excellent record of attendance and to maintain satisfactory grades across all school based courses.
