Making a trap cage

You need plastic bottles, wire, string, a plastic bag and tools.

Cut a disc from the bottom of one of the bottles.

Trim the edges of the disc to make it neat.

It should look like this.

Now cut the bottle about 10 cm from the top.

Make a number of vertical cuts, 1 cm long and 1-2 cm apart.

Fold the resulting flaps out.

You should now have a plastic funnel like this.

Cut the second bottle about 10 cm from the base…

...to form a cup like this.

Trim the remaining top half of the bottle…

..fit the two pieces together to form a short bottle..

You need to make holes in the plastic. To do this easily…

Heat a metal tube...

...and make a hole in the plastic disc you made earlier.
