How is recruiting like finding the perfect pair of shoes How is recruiting like finding the perfect pair of shoes? Whether you are a sneaker, a heel, a sandal, or flat, CDA membership is for you.

Tips to increase membership

Take Turns Inviting Guests One or more members should be expected to bring a guest to the meeting This effort could be done in alphabetical order This consistence approach will become a routine

Organize Teams Teams of 3 or 4 Recruit 1 new member within 2 to 3 months

Advertising Church bulletins Local newspaper Website/other social medias Flyers Other ladies organizations Note – Be sure to include contact information

Membership Contest Any member that brings in a new member during the CDA year will have their name put into a drawing Prize Ideas Year of free or reduced membership dues Gift card Monetary Paid Convention/Workshop registration

Recruit Family and Friends Look at old membership rosters for members that have resigned or forfeited Their situation may have changed and may be ready to return Share your enthusiasm of CDA with family and friends

Educate Members The more your members know about CDA, the better they will be able to sell CDA Make sure your meetings feature education on the Circle of Love Program Share CDA History Educate members regarding the budget and how it pertains to donations to charities

Plan a Fun Event Formal tea Fashion show Bunco Crafts Seder dinner

Recognition When a member successfully recruits a new member, publicly thank and recognize her Recognize the member that successfully recruited the new member in the newsletter

Tips to welcome new members

Formal Reception of New Members Have a formal reception of new members Before the reception, ask a long- time member, a members of several years, and a newer member to give a testimony Invite family and friends to the reception, some of the ladies in attendance may become interested in becoming a member as well

Exude a Warm and Welcoming Attitude Assign someone to greet the new members at the door First Impressions are important Take an interest in them Introduce them to other members Welcome packet to include roster, standing rules, other items applicable to your individual court

Get to Know Your Members Make an effort to know each member by name Get to know what the new members interests are Get them involved in a committee Get them involved in one of the Circle of Love Programs

Ideas for Projects Assemble decorative shoe boxes or decorative bags and fill with women’s grooming products and donate to a woman’s shelter Assemble decorative shoe boxes or decorative bags and fill with small toys or grooming products and donate to children in shelters Baby shower for Catholic Charites or prolife center Make cookies for Christmas or Easter and deliver to your local seminary Collect and donate pull-tabs/pennies for Ronald McDonald House if applicable
