Finding (within development) On-Screen Tag Errors using Object Explorer Module When Tag errors occur on a PanelView Plus, sometimes it’s related to a consolidation of tag words in the processor to free up memory. There may be hidden, now unused formally correct addresses that now show errors at runtime. Often, the addressing is buried in the program and is difficult to find. Using version 7.00, you can use Find. Once you find the display that has the error, you can use the Object Explorer to isolate and remove or fix the addressing. Other Object Explorer Uses and Tips will be covered.

Troubleshooting Serial Communications Often, Ethernet connectivity is used but occasionally a serial communication is needed due to cost constraints or due to emergency. This may be the only unit available (Serial Only) Operator Interface or Controller until another unit arrives. With USB common and Serial Ports rare in laptops, USB To Serial cables are used and most addresses are never Com Port 1.
