Solar System Ambassadors represent at the 2018 National Science Teachers Association Conference Left to right: Melissa Sleeper, Dee McLellan and Nancy Tashima 13 Solar System Ambassadors presented and showcased NASA education resources March 14-18 at NSTA in Atlanta, GA. Highlights: NESTA and NSTA Aerospace Education Advisory Board Space Science Share-a-Thon was led by SSA Dee McLellan and 270 teachers participated. Ken Brandt presented on best practices connecting informal science venues with K–12 Education for observatories and planetariums. Barbie Buckner’s session was Satellite Liftoff with NASA's Beginning Engineering Science and Technology. Jim McDonald and Nancy Tashima showcased NASA resources at the Elementary Extravaganza. Ruth Ruud’s Earth session focused on Let’s Get Wet: Water and Weather. Nancy Tashima also presented on Planetary Storytelling and Citizen Science Using Postcards from Space. Denise Wright spoke about using augmented and virtual reality in the classroom including NASA’s EYEs and Space craft 3D apps. NSTA’s national annual conference draws 9,000–12,000 attendees on average.
