N.C. Constitution Written 1776 in HALIFAX, NC *State Constitutions (1776) came before the U.S. Constitution (1787) *US Constitutions modeled after the states WHY WAS THE N.C. STATE CONSTITUTION WRITTEN THE SAME YEAR AS THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE?
