Incidents and Injuries Stop game with whistle after incident Address incident (inform supervisor of injury) In the event of a major injury, stop the game clock Allow substitution Wait for instructions from Supervisor

Blood Any player with blood on them or on their clothing must exit the field of play immediately Send them to the IM supervisor They may re-enter the game as soon as the blood is removed. If blood gets on their clothing, the supervisor will assure the blood has been taken care of so the participant can re-enter the game.

Equipment Cleats cannot have metal spikes No Jewelry, including watches. Anything that cannot be removed must be taped Shorts must NOT have pockets Shirts must be tucked into the shorts/pants Knee braces with any exposed metal must be covered (with pants or ace bandage)

Forfeit No show. More than 5 minutes late. Not enough players at game time. Use of an ineligible player. Once a supervisor has declared a forfeit, officials are responsible for recording the forfeit on the game sheet. Follow the rules closely and refer any questions to the supervisor. Forfeit score is 21-0

What is FairPlay? Each team will start each game with a score of 4 A half point can taken off depending on the team’s attitude and conduct (your discretion) If a team is neutral in all of these categories their score should remain a 4 Officials rank the teams after the captains have signed the game sheet Explanation needs to be provided on the back of scorecard for any score lower than 4 by referree (See handout)

Ejection Policy

First Downs Following a score and a touchback, the ball starts on the 5 yard line Teams in possession of the ball shall have four consecutive downs to advance the ball to midfield. After such teams will have four more downs to score

The Game Two teams of five players. A team may start with less than five but no less than five 2 halves – 20 min. of running time Touchdown . . . . . . . . . . . . . .6 points Safety. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2 points PAT from 20 yards . . . . . . . . 3 points PAT from 12 yards . . . . . . . . 2 points PAT form 5 yards . . . . . . . . . 1 point

Overtime Teams will flip a coin for who starts with the ball and direction. In regular season: If team A scores then they may go for 1 or 2 points If Team B scores they must go for one point higher than Team A In Playoffs: both Teams may go for 1,2 or 3. Will continue until there is a winner.

What stops the clock? The clock will run at all times during regulation excluding 2 minute Halftime. Each team will be allotted 1 60 second long time out If the game is within 14 points we will begin additional downs After regulation has ended there will be 6 additional downs. The game clock will be off however the play clock will still run. Illegal time consumption???????

CoRec Modifications Two teams of 5, minimum of 3 players to start the game At no time may the # of players for either sex exceed the # of players of opposite sex by more than 2 players. CoRec leagues may use either a regulation or junior size ball as long as they agree Check with Ben

AFD=Automatic First Down Penalties Summary of Penalties   LOD=Loss of Down AFD=Automatic First Down LOS=Line of Scrimmage RD=Replay Down Loss of 5 yards 1. Offensive pass interference (enforced from line & LOD) 2. Defensive pass interference (enforced from line & AFD) 3. Unsportsmanlike conduct 4. Roughing the passer (tack-on or from the line & AFD) 5. Illegal contact on offense (SOF) 6. Illegal contact on defense If a clear path and the player would have scored. Tackling player is ejected and TD counts. 7. Illegally secured flag belt (LOD for offensive team, and an ejection of the perpetrator) 8. Illegal participation 9. Unsportsmanlike conduct (tack on penalty) 10.
