Information session – go through the project (25 minutes) and system slides until the end of the signup process (slide 14) (10.05am – 10.30am) 2. Break for 10 minutes (10.30am – 10.40am) 3. Run through of test system on how to use (60 minutes) (10.45am – 11.45am) End session, thankyou 4. What is the RBDM Online Marriage Registration Project? Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages What is the RBDM Online Marriage Registration Project? Commenced in January 2017 Design and build a online service for authorised marriage celebrants (AMC) to access which is able to be flexible and easily accessible for users Reliable digital platform with accessibility from various devices Must include printable marriage forms Must include online certificate ordering Must have security features ie. username and password and verification of AGD/RBDM authority number Must have automatic notifications to return to celebrant ie. SMS/Email Must be capable of uploading scanned marriage forms No duplication of information to be entered Disclosure questions included Setup support and network arrangements with AMC

What’s happened so far Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages Currently 302 authorised marriage celebrants Including religious celebrants and civil celebrants Increased turnaround time for the registration of fully compliant online marriages Marriage forms are scanned and attached to online record prior to submitting to RBDM Celebrant signups and training has been performed by the project team in various locations including, Mackay, Cairns, Ipswich, Sunshine Coast, Townsville, Rockhampton, Gold Coast, Bundaberg and Brisbane with planning for visits to Hervey Bay, Gold Coast and Toowoomba. Just over 1000 marriages have been registered using the new online system

Three step process to signup Create a QGov Account via www.qld.gov.au/onlinemarriages Log in to validate your 100 points of identification via www.qld.gov.au/onlinemarriages Collection of your marriage celebrant details for RBDM and request access permission by RBDM – Signup details

Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages Access via www.qld.gov.au/onlinemarriages Commence demonstration of system – following access to the system.

Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages Providing 100 points of identification You must provide a total of 100 points of Australian or state-issued documents to prove your digital identity—this is for first time users only. Different types of identity documents are worth different points. You can use different combinations of documents to make up your 100 points, but you must include at least one primary document as part of your 100 points. Primary documents Points Birth certificate 50 Driver licence 60 Passport 50   Secondary documents Points Certificate of Australian citizenship 40 Change of name certificate 40 Australian visa 40 Marriage certificate 40 Medicare card 40 Sign-up/Login (Step 3)
