Hospital System Challenge: Health Advocate client since January 2015 14,000 enrolled through multiple hospital systems Challenge: Hospital employees are often stressed and work long hours. The hospital system wanted to help their employees when they, or a loved one, had a health issue. Many of the employees were also caregivers, so they wanted to provide a resource to support them as they care for their loved ones – allowing them to stay focused at work. In addition, they wanted to offer access to an independent third party to help so their employees’ personal health issues would remain confidential.

Hospital System Solution: The hospital system rolled out our Health Advocacy solution. Their senior executives and HR teams believed in the value of Health Advocate, so they championed our program. In the beginning there was a big push to drive employees to use the service. This included a home mailer, posters, and topical flyers. We are a true partnership – the client looks at us as an extension of their HR department. We help them build their yearly communications plans, hold regular meetings, conduct annual onsite HR training, and whenever they need help or have a question, they call us.

Hospital System Results: Consistent year-over-year engagement Average 1,700 interactions per quarter 17,000 total interactions 6,500 hours worked 45% of Clinical Interactions were specialty care locators 79% of Administrative Interactions were to resolve claims issues Total savings: $1,720,708.50 Productivity savings: $967,111.50 Member savings: $629,197.00

Hospital System What the client is saying: “The Health Advocate implementation team made my job easy…they were on top of the process every step of the way from setup to communications rollout. As anyone in benefits knows, year-end is a stressful time and I was thankful to have one less thing to worry about. Since implementing, we have received nothing but rave reviews about Health Advocate from our employees…” – Senior Benefits Analyst

Hospital System What their employees are saying: “Thank you SO MUCH for this email. I appreciate all of your research on this for me and my son. Let your supervisor know how wonderful you have been to us!” “My wife had a very positive experience with Health Advocate and HA is a ‘God send.’ She had an issue involving insurance, and the Personal Health Advocate worked for over an hour to sort everything out for her. Health Advocate is one of the best benefits a company could offer their team members.”

Hospital System What their employees are saying: “They are all always such a pleasure...and that is an amazing feat because I have called other places and it’s a nightmare. This is top notch customer service at its best...and I ain't blowing smoke. I mean it! Thanks for a stressless call!” “I was sick and couldn't get my situation fixed so I could get the medical treatment I needed. I had a hard time explaining and taking action in my ordeal. The Personal Health Advocate took the time to understand me and worked diligently to take care of my problems. This was a life saver for me, literally.”
