Georgia Dual Enrollment Changes Effective July 1, 2015: Funding for 100% of student’s tuition and fees Expanded to include all 9th – 12th graders High school/Home school determines eligibility and students must meet postsecondary eligibility requirements Textbooks supplied by the college but must be returned Expand options, listed on the DE Course Directory Full time or part time attendance, multiple colleges Taken at the high school, college campus, or online High Schools keep all FTE funding Provided a High School Postsecondary Graduation Option (HSPGO) (SB2) Summer enrollment allowed No residency requirements Additional Regulations Students who do not live in Georgia may be eligible to participate in the Dual Enrollment Program if the student is enrolled and physically attending a participating high school in Georgia (2017) Funding for 4 years (2017) Students with IEP or HSPGO may request extensions beyond the 4 year limit (2017) Parents/Guardian must sign an advisement form (2018) Funding limit of 15 semester credit hours per term (2018)

Georgia Dual Enrollment Funding State Appropriations: AY2016 $30 mil; $22 mil added AY2017 $60 mil AY2018 $78.8 mil AY2019 $105 mil Audit: In FY18, State funded additional enrollment-based formula (FTE) funding to State Postsecondary institutions ($93.5 mil) and QBE (FTE) funds to public high schools ($26.5 mil) Colleges are reimbursed: Regular tuition costs for state colleges; up to $250 per credit hour for private colleges $50 fees $25 per credit hour for textbooks (college owned) up to 15 credit hours
