Abstract With the explosion of mobile apps in market, it’s become remarkably clear that every app needs rich UI, bug-proof logic, fastest delivery to survive in competition. In today’s era, almost every company has a strategy to release app(s) for mobile devices and the radical growth of mobile apps is opening new vistas of challenges in testing. Robust automation needs stable UI which is available only at the end of development cycle. In agile world, tester has to automate along with the app development which leads to rework as UI changes every now and then. This paper outlines a layering down approach which will enhance the scope of test automation exponentially in agile methodology. It comprises of developing a AppTestSuite for under development apps at core layer. The AppTestSuite will bundle the scripts of test scenarios which can be installed and executed at the real device. This enables a way to test every new feature with multiple platforms and devices without having to wait for the UI. This approach has the potential to offer a compelling combination of reducing rework and arresting bugs early by making automation journey hand in hand with the app development journey.

Her core competencies are in the areas of webservices test automation, UI test automation (web, windows and mobile) and also API based automation solutions.
