ACHIEVEMENT AND BEHAVIOR GPA BEFORE STARK – 1.5 GPA AT STARK – 2.7 50% ABOVE 2.7 26% ABOVE 3.0 BEHAVIOR OF 124 STARKWEATHER STUDENTS FROM PCEP 2,391 referrals at PCEP = 339 referrals at Starkweather 889 suspension while at PCEP = 33 susp. at Starkweather AVERAGE UNDER 2 FIGHTS PER YEAR IN ENTIRE SCHOOL – NONE THIS YEAR AS OF 12/7

What We Provide to Starkweather Students Smaller , 200 total students, under 20 per class Access to therapy and social work service Weekly teacher supported after school tutoring and community service program New start Flexible scheduling Accelerated credit possibility Unlimited time AP and Dual enrollment opportunity. Childcare Bus transportation for 7 period schedule *

We are not easier, only different Little Drama Relationships Same Curriculum Same Common assessments as PCEP We care more because we can Fully aligned MMC/PCCS curriculum

Schedule Standard schedule is 6 classes meeting 4 hours each week All 6 classes Monday 9-3:35 3 classes meet T/W or TH/F 90 minutes 9- 2:20 Additional credit recovery opportunities before and after standard schedule Vocational evening courses at Ford Votech in WWCSD (part of full time schedule)

Steps to Enroll P-CEP counselor fills out transfer form online Student fills out Registration Form Online Students bring in, current transcripts, & classes in progress Attend an Orientation (IF NOT ALREADY DONE) Attend a group registration session with a counselor and schedule classes

Starkweather Visit/Shadow/Tour Day for Future Students Group Tours - Opportunity for students, parents/guardians to get a feel for Starkweather and ask any initial questions. This is given by Leah Babinski (counselor). http://tinyurl.com/starktours Orientation - Any family is welcome, even if they have not yet decided to attend Starkweather. If they have decided to attend this is mandatory. These presentations are made by Kevin Lane (principal) or Mark Medlock (dean). Group Scheduling - When completing the registration form the student will select a date to attend scheduling to pick out their classes. The student must attend, but it is optional for the parent. The student must register ahead of time for this and should not just show up. This is done with Leah Babinski (counselor).

DATES AND TIMES  Group Tours (registration prefered at http://tinyurl.com/starktours) Thursday, December 10th - 7:00 am Thursday, January 14th - 3:00 pm Orientations (registration is not required, All are welcome), attendance is expected for all REGISTERED students and a family member. The times listed are mostly adjacent to scheduling sessions for newly registered students.
