Secured Mail Road Traffic Charter Our Commitment Secured Mail is committed to delivering a ‘Road Traffic Policy’ that prioritises the safety of its people by reducing road traffic related incidents, adopting zero tolerance towards fatalities and injuries to our drivers, agency workers and all other third parties who may be affected by our operational activities. Secured Mail will develop synergies and partnership with key suppliers and groups within our sector and society who are committed and focused and with a vested interest in improving Road traffic Safety and Compliance in conjunction with ISO 39001. Resources Secured Mail, will make available adequate resources to implement, uphold, maintain and enhance the support our Road Traffic Safety Programmes to achieve continuous improvement in performance. Our Charter The intended outcome of the RTS system is to reduce and ultimately eliminate the number of deaths and serious injuries in road traffic crashes that we can influence: Adopting a zero tolerance standard towards all fatal road traffic incidents across all areas Secured Mail has potential to influence Obligation for all drivers to sign up to the Secured Mail Road Safety Charter Implementing definitive measures to reduce road traffic incidents and including road safety in our decision making processes Ensuring all managers and drivers have the appropriate skills, knowledge and experience to minimise road traffic risks Identifying root causes of incidents and introducing mitigating actions to prevent re-occurrence Sharing and encouraging best practice and lessons learnt Exploring Telemetric Data along with onsite technology to prevent and reduce the risk and impact of road traffic incidents Introducing recognition programmes to encourage safe behaviour and continuously improve driving standards Benchmarking, measuring, monitoring, auditing our strategy, policies and programmes internally to externally to continuously improve road safety performance Abiding by the guidelines and standards laid out in FORS & ISO 39001 Mark Bigley James Wilkins CEO Operations Director Secured Mail Secured Mail Secured Mail RTS Charter Version 5, Feb 2018, Review Feb 2019
