What languages do we speak? In Spain, we have four official languages. Spanish is spoken in all regions. In our region, we also speak Catalan.

The Royal Family In 2014, Spain welcomed a new King and Queen, Felipe VI and Doña Letizia. They have two daughters, Leonor and Isabel.

Spain's President The President of Spain is Mariano Rajoy. He was elected on December 21st, 2011, and re-elected on October 29th, 2016. In the picture, you can see the Spanish and the European flags.

Tramuntana Mountain Range: a UNESCO World Heritage Site

Our town, Sóller Sóller is nestled in a beautiful valley of the Tramuntana Mountain Range, located in the Northwest of the island. The highest mountain is called “Puig Major”.

Our town is Sóller: Saint Bartholomeo church is situated in the main square of the town. It is also our Patron Saint.

Our port: Port de Sóller We have a port in our town. It's 4 kilometers away from the city centre. Because of this port, a lot of fresh fish arrives in our town every day.

Terraces In Mallorca, we have terraces like you see in the picture. Because of these terraces, we can grow our local products in the Tramuntana Mountain Range.

Local Products Our local products are oranges, lemons, olives, almonds, and carobs. Oranges Lemons

Carobs Almond trees in bloom. Olives

Our traditional pastry is the “ensaïmada”.
