Shakespeare - Younger Life Born : April 23, 1564 (estimated) Hometown: Stratford – Upon – Avon, England Father was a leader in their town; similar to a Mayor Assumed to have attended the school, King’s New School. *there is no certainty of his education which leads people to think Shakespeare may not even exsist.

Shakespeare – Adult life Married to Anne Hathaway Anne was pregnant with child when they married. Anne was 10 years older than William The two shared 3 children; one daughter and twins (boy & girl) Shakespeare moved to London to pursue a career while his family stayed behind in Stratford Shakespeare has no current direct descendants

JACOBEAN ERA Marked the beginning of the reign of King James who ruled over a unified kingdom comprising of England and Scotland It was something during the rule of King James that Britain started establishing colonies. During the Jacobean period that popular Shakespearean plays like Tempest, Macbeth were written. Tragedy and Satire was at its peak

KING HENRY Duke of Normandy and the youngest son of William the Conqueror He was given money from his father which is when he bought Normandy. His brothers disagreed on the land that they inherited from his father.

GLOBE THEATER It was built by Shakespeare and his company in 1599, but it was destroyed by a fire on June 29, 1613 The Globe Theater was built in a similar style as the Coliseum but smaller. The Globe theater was also used for gambling and immortal reasoning. No women were allowed to work as actors-female roles were taken by young men who wore women’s clothes and make-up.
