August 24, 2017 Today, once again, we are getting all of the logistics out of the way. Then you will complete your “Literary Life” Worksheet What does that mean? Well, it’s just a REALLY fancy way of saying we are going to make sure we can log in to all of our technology stuff that we are going to be using this year to keep track of our goals, scores, and data 

Materials you will need: You will need to following for today’s assignment: Notebook paper Pen or pencil Chromebook or phone If you did not finish the assignment from yesterday, you can find it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2Wnz9v1jI0&t=2s Or go to youtube and search “a walk in the woods jacqui haynes” Or use the qr code! It is posted on the projector screen and boards around the room  When you finish the video, write if you agree/disagree with what this test says about you. Why? Turn it in to the black box. If you did all of this already, move on to the next slide 

Next, you need to sign up for Remind! If you haven’t already… To do this, you will need to use your phone and send a text message to: @hhshaynes to 81010 @hhshaynes

Make sure you can login to Canvas Here’s the website to Canvas: https://canvas.instructure.com/login/canvas You should be able to use your same login information that you use with Google Classroom, your bisd.net email. (It was the one with all those crazy numbers letters…) Your password should be your birthday. Day, month, year. There are NO assignments to complete in Canvas yet! You just need to be able to login to your Canvas account, it will show me if you’ve enrolled or logged in.

Next up! “Literary Life” Worksheet What is it? This “Literary Life” worksheet is an assessment of your knowledge of basic literary terms. *It is also a study in how these terms affect your life. When is it due? Guess what? The due date will be released on Remind at the end of the day. Oh, snap! You tried to skip that step didn’t you? Busted! Go back and sign up if you didn’t do it already  However, if you finish today…turn it in to the black box. Sit and work quietly on something else.
