How Confucianism Has Affected Our World Confucius was the founder of the modern ideal that all people deserve an education and a chance to govern, not just the noble class. Confucius started the system of going to school throughout your childhood to prepare for a few tests that would determine your status and occupation for the rest of your life. Confucian started new ideas about what government should look like Bureaucracy – Trained civil service, or those that run the government. The Long Wall before the Great wall of China Shi Huangdi forced peasants to build the wall there was a choose…. “build the wall or die.” Many died anyways because of harsh labor and even harsher winters Some scholars believe he had the wall built just to keep his army busy and at this time foreign invasion wouldn’t have happened His son was also ruthless, but wasn’t as good of a leader.
