Rosa Parks: Civil Disobedience On December 1, 1955 Rosa Parks had a historic act of Civil Disobedience Rosa was seated in the front of the “colored” section When the bus filled, Rosa was asked to stand so the White man could sit without being seated by any black passengers Rosa refused and was arrested and her acts of Civil Disobedience made waves across the country/

Montgomery Bus Boycott Lead by the young Reverend Martin Luther King Jr The black community of Montgomery dedicated themselves to boycotting all bus services After 381 days, the Supreme Court outlawed bus segregation The black community of Montgomery found support from the Jewish community providing cars for carpools
