Track 2 – CIM and Network Analysis (_______) Focuses on the use of the CIM for transmission and distribution power system network modeling Provides detailed training in the use of the CIM for supporting network analysis and explores each of the profiles of the 61970 standard Recommended for people interested in the CIM primarily as a tool for facilitating network model management and exchange Recommended for Distribution Operators, Transmission Operators, and ISO/RTO’s involved in network model management and analysis similar to ONCOR, AEP or ERCOT

Track 3 – CIM Tools (_________) This track is designed to provide a “hands-on” approach to open source tools commonly used to create CIM applications Tools to be reviewed and demonstrated include Sparx Enterprise Architect (EA) used to manage and maintain the CIM UML model, including philosophies and methodologies for UML modeling CIM Tool used to manage and generate CIM-derived models, profiles, and schemas Schema Composer – the Sparx EA Add-in profiling tool used to generate CIM profiles from the CIM UML model CIMConteXtor/CIMSyntaxGen – a Sparx EA Add-in to create and manage UML models and UML-based profiles and to auto-generate schemas Modsarus/RiseClipse profiling tools for use case modeling Using OWL (Ontology Web Language) to generate CIM Profiles
