“Going beyond the Court of the Gentiles stood the magnificent 60 foot wide "Gate Beautiful" mentioned in Acts 3:2,10. It was identified by some scholars as the "Gate Shusan" because it contained a beautifully sculptured relief of the city of Susa. During the time of the morning and evening sacrifices this great entrance was the place of public worship.”

#2. the alteration of our expectation is always for a greater purpose

#2. the alteration of our expectation is always for a greater purpose Matthew 10:34-39 (esv) "Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. [35] For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. [36] And a person's enemies will be those of his own household. [37] Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. [38] And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. [39] Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

‘revelation’ = act of revealing or disclosing; disclosure. something revealed as of something not before realized. God's disclosure of Himself and His will to His creatures. something that contains such disclosure, such as the Bible. #2. the alteration of our expectation is always for a greater purpose

2 Corinthians 3:14-18 (esv) But their minds were hardened. For to this day, when they read the old covenant, that same veil remains unlifted, because only through Christ is it taken away. [15] Yes, to this day whenever Moses is read a veil lies over their hearts. [16] But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. [17] Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. [18] And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

#3. the purpose of the revelation of Jesus, is that of transformation 2 Corinthians 3:14-18 (esv) But their minds were hardened. #3. the purpose of the revelation of Jesus, is that of transformation Acts 3:7-8 (esv) And he took him by the right hand and raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankles were made strong. [8] And leaping up, he stood and began to walk, and entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God.

#3. the purpose of the revelation of Jesus, is that of transformation #2. the alteration of our expectation is always for a greater purpose #1. It is in the regular movements of the ‘expected’ where opportunity arises: As boring as you may consider your life, as pointless as you think your existence may be, in the eyes of the divine, you are viewed as far more than your expectations are… you or made in His image Gen 1:26, loved with everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3 I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.) & have a home to look forward to (John 14:1-2) and in that He will bring about alterations to your being, your direction, your heart for we are His workmanship (Eph 2:10) continually being worked with (Phil 1:6) till we are presented before Him as complete & cleansed (Eph 5:27) – all at the revelation of Jesus Christ, who’s name is above all names (Phil 2:9) and whose name alone can save (Acts 4:12) and whose name all beings in heaven & on earth will bow and confess Jesus Christ is Lord (Phil 2:10-11). As a follower of Jesus, your life is far from the ordinary, altered through the revelation on the Lord Jesus, that transforms us from the inside out!!

made in His image - Genesis 1:26 loved with everlasting love - Jeremiah 31:3 a home to look to - John 14:1-2

we are His workmanship - Ephesians 2:10 continually being worked with - Philippians 1:6 presented complete & cleansed - Ephesians 5:27 a name is above all names - Philippians 2:9 who alone can save - Acts 4:12 confess Jesus Christ is Lord - Philippians 2:10-11
