Active Transport-importing Endocytosis: movement of large materials (polypeptides) into the cell by creating a vesicle from the cell membrane Phagocytosis: “eating” or bringing in large solid particles ex: amoeba eating Pinocytosis: “drinking” or bringing in fluid from outside the cell
Active Transport-exporting Exocytosis: movement of materials out of the cell using a vesicle that fuses with the cell membrane and releases material outside All is done through the golgi apparatus
