Double Tenth Day

Republic of China (R.O.C.) The Republic of China is Taiwan’s official name. The Double Tenth Day is our country’s birthday. We celebrated it every year on October 10th to commemorate the 1911 Wuch'ang Uprising, a milestone in China's political development and new chapter in the history of the Chinese people.

Celebration This is the first time people celebrate the Double Tenth Day in 1911. The parade in front of the presidential office building in 1987.

Nowadays we usually celebrate this day by folk dance, acrobatics, and aboriginal performing instead of troops parade. And we have firework show at night.

Happy Birthday to Taiwan!!
