Resources for Educators Educators Reference Complete in Gale for academic journals; Resources connect to curriculum, tutorials, etc. TeachingBooks.net for book and author study

Cite Sources Easily citation tools; multiple styles. Gale exports to Bibliography sites, Britannica more formats

Share Resources with Students Resource Packs Persistent Links Google Apps for Education With Britannica you can create student resource packs and share the link with students or other educators. In Gale, items, lists of items, search results, etc. can be Bookmarked, which creates a persistent link to share. Or, they can be downloaded straight into Google Apps for Education.

Search by Content/Lexile Level Teachers can access instructional materials at different levels for differentiation ; students can access material they are comfortable using. Gale advance search for content and lexile level. Britannica change level in article. search for ‘energy sources’ in Student Resources in Context; apply lexile range in advanced search

TEKS Correlation Teachers can access additional instructional material by TEK that they can use or share with students. Britannica is aligned to four content areas K-12, and Gale’s In-Context resources align to MS and HS ELA, SS, and Science TEKS.

Text to Speech Text to speech; highlights as it reads; users can change settings; possible to download audio file; STAAR -A practice. Britannica has text to speech, but no settings

Topic Lists and Topic Finder Gale In Context resources - Topic lists; Gale One File platform has topic finder - ex. police brutality

Translate Gale = translation; read aloud in translation; Britannica = dictionary in English version; Spanish encyclopedia on multiple levels.

Access TexQuest Resources Have all participants access the TexQuest website at http://texquest.net. Show them the tabs, and point out that all resources can be accessed from the first page (although this should not take the place of providing multiple points of entry from campus/district websites)
