Consider this quote from Dr. Suess Consider this quote from Dr. Suess. Think about the message/central idea of this quote. Pair with a partner, and share your thoughts and questions.

Put Yourself in Someone Else’s Shoes Complete the Circle of Viewpoints planning sheet (provided). Consider each perspective’s view or contribution to student success.

A routine for exploring diverse perspectives Choose success AT AMS Form a group of 4-5 students. Position your group at one of the four viewpoints posters located in the four corners of your classroom (provided). From the viewpoint of either a student, teacher, parent, or principal/counselor, consider each person’s commitment to a student’s success. Spend 1-2 minutes discussing with a partner(s) what your think, share reason(s) to support, and pose questions you may have. When your teacher gives the signal, half of the group should rotate clockwise while the other half of the group rotates counter-clockwise to the next poster. Repeat the same process at this viewpoint station with a new discussion partner. Continue this process until each student has traveled to all four viewpoint stations. This thinking routine helps students consider different and diverse perspectives involved in and around the topic of student success. CIRCLE OF VIEWPOINTS A routine for exploring diverse perspectives
